Sound familiar?

What would you change about your smile?

  • Worn edges from grinding that make the smile look older than you are.
  • A veneer quote from another office that did not mention your gums.
  • Teeth that have yellowed and no longer respond to whitening strips.
  • A chip, a gap, or one front tooth that is darker or shorter than the rest.
  • Old bonding or a front crown that no longer matches.

Every one of these has a fix, most are done in one to three visits, and the plan is designed on a scan before any tooth is touched.

Cypress patients take Valley View and Bolsa Chica 15 to 20 minutes to a cosmetic dentist in Huntington Beach who plans veneers, bonding, whitening and Invisalign on a digital scan. At Safari Dentistry and Implants a periodontist checks the gums first, the finished smile is previewed in your mouth, and the fee is written down before any tooth is touched.

What is a smile makeover?

A smile makeover combines two or more cosmetic treatments into one plan: for example whitening the back teeth, veneers on the front six, and gum reshaping on two teeth that show too much gum. It is designed on an intraoral scan so Cypress patients approve a digital preview and then a physical trial smile before any tooth is prepared.

  1. Consultation and scan. Photographs, an intraoral scan and a periodontal check.
  2. Digital design. The new smile is designed on screen; you review shape and shade.
  3. Trial smile. A temporary mock-up is placed over your teeth so you can see it in your own mouth.
  4. Treatment. Gum work first if needed, then whitening, then veneers or bonding, over three to six visits.

Whitening that actually works

Professional whitening uses a stronger gel than strips, with the gums protected, and lifts most stains several shades in one 90-minute visit. It only works on natural enamel, so existing bonding, veneers or crowns are matched afterward. Sensitive or receded gums are treated first by the periodontist so whitening does not sting.

Why Cypress patients choose Safari for cosmetic dentistry

Cypress families use the office for cosmetic work at both ends of the age range: teenagers who need a chipped front tooth bonded or a short course of Invisalign, and parents who want whitening and a couple of veneers before a wedding or a milestone birthday. Because the scan does the design work, the number of visits is small and each one fits inside a Monday to Thursday window.

How much do veneers cost near Cypress?

Veneers are priced per tooth and the total depends on how many teeth show when you smile, usually six to ten. The fee is written down at the consultation along with any whitening, bonding or gum work in the plan. Insurance does not cover veneers, but the front desk checks what your plan pays toward crowns and gum treatment, and monthly payment plans are offered for the rest.

What to bring to your first visit from Cypress

  • Photos of a smile you like, and one of your own smile from a few years ago.
  • Any quote or plan from another cosmetic office, to compare line by line.
  • Your insurance card; crowns and gum treatment are often covered, cosmetic work is not.
  • Questions about longevity and upkeep; the answers are written into the plan.

From the moment I walked in the door, Dr Safari and team welcomed me like family. Everybody was very nice. The office is cute and clean. They addressed all my cares and concerns. I had a very nice experience I highly recommended this place. And they have coffee in the waiting room.

I've have never been to a better dentistry in all my life! Dr Safari truly cares about her patients and I can't thank her enough for the work that she does. I hadn't been to the dentist in over 10 years thinking I can take care of my teeth pretty well on my own (bad, I know!) I had an immediate dental emergency randomly, and Dr Safari was there for me. To say the least, I actually had a lot of work that needed to be done that was avoided all those years, so my emergency was a blessing in disguise. She is so attentive, kind and an expert at what she does. Honestly Dr Safari and all her staff are such positive people. From Bridgett, Ada and to all the dental assistants. Every single staff member makes you feel they're there to help and so welcoming with their smiles. I'm so grateful for what she has done for me and I value her dedication to helping people. Seriously, thank you!

Good to know

Questions patients ask

Does teeth whitening damage enamel?

Not when done professionally with the gums protected. It can cause temporary sensitivity, which is why the periodontist checks for exposed roots and recession first and treats them if needed.

Can you fix a gummy smile?

Yes. Esthetic crown lengthening reshapes the gum and bone so more tooth shows; it is done by the periodontist in one visit and is permanent. It is often combined with veneers or whitening.

Will my veneers look fake?

Not if they are designed on a scan and previewed in your mouth first. Shade, translucency and the shape of each tooth are chosen with you at the trial-smile visit; nothing is bonded until you approve it.

Can I get Invisalign instead of veneers?

If the issue is crowding, spacing or a tooth that sits out of line, aligners fix the position rather than covering it. Many plans combine short Invisalign treatment with whitening or bonding afterward.

How many visits will I need from Cypress?

Whitening or bonding is one visit. Veneers are two visits about two weeks apart. A full smile makeover is three to six visits over four to eight weeks. Appointments are Monday to Thursday, 10 AM to 4 PM.
